Dakar 2017: first stage. Good start!

We have finished the first tough stage of the Dakar Rally. The speed trial measured only 39 km, but it was very narrow and broken. Moreover, the weather was incredibly hot, the truck was like a sauna. There is much to lose and quite nothing to gain in such a stretch of the race. So our 31 seconds behind Martin Kolomy, who won the stage, is a good initial result. Tomorrow we will start again from the fourth position.

The upcoming stage will take us to the territory of Argentina, Resistencia - San Miguel de Tucuman. The section for trucks will be 812 km long, 284 km of which will be a speed trial. The first truck will depart at 18.10 (CET). The weather will probably be our biggest enemy that takes on all its disguises and can bring on pretty unpredictable situations.
