Dakar 2017: eighth stage. Goodbye, Bolivia!
Today's shortened stage, the last one in Bolivia, is behind us. To be honest I'm not satisfied with the result, even though we didn't have any technical problems. We didn't have enough power. We just couldn't keep up. The vehicles around were faster. We were choked mainly by the altitude.
January 11, 2017 is the day of the 9th stage from Salta to Chilecito. This stage should have a total of 977 km, 406 km of which will be the measured section for all categories. But it's still not clear what will happen, because the only access road to Salta is under water and the entire convoy is said to be instructed to return. We will have to wait for the solution.
We believe that this time, despite the difficulties the serving of kilometres will be preserved and the results will be somewhat more favourable for us.
Thank you for being with us!
