Dakar Rally 2015

Dear friends and Loprais team fans!

Many greetings from the hot Argentina. Our SUPERMAN just went through the technical scrutineering without any problems and with a 9000 km in front of him thought South America and three countries of Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. We are looking forward to see the fans in Buenos Aires during the starting ceremony and 4th of January we are going for the first stage!

Sunday, 4.1.

BUENOS AIRES – VILLA CARLOS PAZ

This is a first portion of the racing kilometers. 663 km connection stage and 175 km racing one. This stage should be the fastest ones with a tricky corners, stones and typical dust.

Monday, 5.1.

VILLA CARLOS PAZ – SAN JUAN

For this stage the trucks will got another route comparing to the rest of the field. Today the connection route will be a 315 km and 331 km of the racing stage. It should be a hard surface with, dust parts and with a sand on the end.

Tuesday, 6.1.

SAN JUAN – CHILECITO

For trucks is determined distance in the length of 258 km connection stage and 284 km of special stage. The route will lead thought one of the most beautiful areas of Argentina, full of canyons and steep peaks, but pilots will have to rather watch a journey full of dangerous stones.

Wednesday, 7.1.

CHILECITO – COPIAPO

At this stage we expect the connecting stage 594 km and 174 km of special stage. During this stage, we will climb to a high of 4800m passing the border crossing at Paso San Francisco to Chile. At this stage the pilots will face a giant dunes near Copiapo. Challenging stage...

Thursday, 8.1.

COPIAPO –ANTOFAGASTA

Connection stage will be 239 km and racing one 439 km for today. This phase will be the same for all categories. Again, it will be a fast stage with a treacherous sand - Fesch Fesch very difficult for overtaking.

Friday, 9.1.

ANTOFAGASTA –IQUIQUE

At the sixth stage the connection part will measure 370 km and the special stage 255 km. The route will bring the competitors to the Pacific Ocean and Iquique. We are again face a dunes and the rally will get into the half.

Saturday, 10.1.

IQUIQUE –MARATHON BIVOUAC

Connection part of this stage will measure 101 km and the racing one 335 km. This stage is the marathon one with a long sand parts. The night will be without service zone and mechanics.

Sunday, 11.1.

MARATHON BIVOUAC – IQUIQUE

This stage is without connecting part, competitors will go directly into the special stage 271 km long. It will be a difficult day full of dunes and sand.

Monday, 12.1.

Deserved DAY OFF

Tuesday, 13.1.

IQUIQUE – CALAMA

Connection part will measure 88km, the special stage 451 km for today. Again competitors will fight against dunes and sand, bumps, potholes and narrow tracks without the possibility of overtaking.

Wednesday, 14.1.

CALAMA – SALTA

Today is on the plan 501 km connection section and 359 km of racing stage. At this stage, the competitors will be bothered by large elevation to cross borders again to Argentina.

Thursday, 15.1.

SALTA – TERMAS DE RIO HONDO

In the eleventh stage is prepared for trucks a connecting part in the length of 326 km and special stage 194 km long. Again, fast stage full of trees, vegetation and narrow roads.

Friday, 16.1.

TERMAS DE RIO HONDO – ROSARIO

In the twelfth stage waiting for trucks a really long connection stage, which measures 726 km followed by 298 km long special stage. Challenging and fast stage full of rocks and dangerous vegetation.

Saturday, 17.1.

ROSARIO – BUENOS AIRES

Finally the last stage will have a connection part of 219 km and special stage will be a 174 km long. Again, it will be a quick breaking stage, which will require maximum focus and concentration to the very end. Everybody are tired and the even in the last stage there are competitors which will not get into the end.
