The first real stage

After two previous cancelled stages we are finaly in the race! The weather was fine and we could start into the first real special stage.

Ales Loprais was till the last section on third position. During the last check point he lost one minute and finished sixth.

"It took me today a long time to settle down with a truck. After the shake down in Buenos Aires we decided to change the chassis setting and I was also trying the new Good Year tyres. In the finish I didn't feel well but at the end I have to say I was lucky and positively surprised that we were almost the whole race taking third positon. The last 100km before the finish I got close to Kamaz of Eduard Nikolaev. I was not able to overtake him till the finish line. His tempo was also fast but we lost one minute in his dust and finished sixth overall."
